ABOUT THE FASD STUDY GROUP
The FASDSG is an affiliate of the Research Society on Alcohol (RSA). The FASDSG has a membership of clinicians and researchers. The binding interests of our members are the desire to fully understand the etiology of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), identify the characteristics of FASD at multiple levels, and devise ways to improve the lives of children, adolescents, and adults with FASD and other alcohol-related disabilities.
In addition to elected Officers, the FASDSG Bylaws (section 4.01) require an Advisory Board to provide guidance and advice to the officers on issues of governance, policy, and other matters relevant to the operations and mission of the Group. The Advisory Board is composed of the three immediate Past-Presidents and two members elected by the Regular FASDSG membership.
The current Advisory Board elected members are Dr. Susan Smith and Dr. Jeff Wozniak. Past-President members are Dr. Sandra Mooney, Dr. Christie Petrenko, and Dr. Kristin Hamre.
Code of conduct : As an affiliate of the Research Society on Alcohol (RSA), the FASDSG members and meeting attendees are expected to observe the RSA Code of Conduct. This policy can be reviewed here.
