New Officer Election
Election of a new FASDSG officer will take place at the annual meeting. The new officer will serve as Secretary for one year, and then serve one year terms as Treasurer, Vice-President, and President over the following three years.

Christie (McGee) Petrenko, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and researcher who has been conducting research with individuals with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) and their families since 2003. She completed her graduate training in 2009 under the mentorship of Drs. Edward Riley and Sarah Mattson through the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. After completing post-doctoral training on preventive interventions and childhood trauma at the University of Colorado, Denver, Dr. Petrenko joined the faculty at Mt. Hope Family Center, University of Rochester in 2011. She holds appointments in the Departments of Clinical and Social Sciences in Psychology and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
Dr. Petrenko’s research focuses on advancing understanding of the complex factors that contribute to the development of secondary conditions in individuals with FASD and evaluating the efficacy of interventions to prevent or mitigate their impact on individuals and their families. She has been the recipient of institutional and individual NIH pre- and post-doctoral training awards and completed a Career Development Award (K01) through NIAAA. Most recently, she was awarded a grant as part of the Collaborative Initiative on FASD to develop and evaluate a mobile health intervention for caregivers of children with FASD. In addition, Dr. Petrenko directs a multidisciplinary FASD clinic providing diagnostic, intervention, and family support services.
